SCUP: Corrosion Inhibitors

Regular price $17,600.00 Sale

Mar 2020. Corrosion inhibitors are consumed primarily in cooling water systems and boilers of manufacturing plants, metal treatment and protection fluids, lubricants and fuels, and crude oil and gas production fields. Power plants and petrochemical manufacturing dominate a large portion of cooling water and boiling water demand. The operating conditions of these industries have a direct impact on corrosion inhibitor consumption. Power plant capacity expansions have been at a low level in most regions, including China. Manufacturing industry trends have been flat in Western Europe, North America, Northeast Asia, and Southeast Asia. There will be some new demand for corrosion inhibitors in India and Southeast Asian countries in the next five years. As for crude oil and gas production fields, in the United States the crude oil price stabilized in 2016, and hydraulic fracturing of shale formation has rebounded, reviving the need for corrosion inhibitors in this segment. As a result, the growth rate for North America is almost 2%, better than other developed regions.
